I think a lot of women are influenced by all the shite in the media, fad diets, fad exercise regimes and seem to not be able to think for themselves and always want 'help' when its something you have to do on your own and over a period of time to get results.

Simple things like cycling and playing sport regularly are things that most women wouldnt even dream of doing yet these things will make the weight fall off.

Men say 'I need to shift a few pounds' and go to the gym/ stop drinking for a bit and the weight just falls off. I exercise and put on weight?

I reckon that's a defeatist comment to start with to be honest Champ.

As for your last point I'd say your body fat ratio is pretty low. Are you sure you're not developing muscle?

Is that not what happens though, as you have demonstrated yourself?

Maybe some of it is muscle...maybe I just eat too much

It doesn't 'just fall off' though does it? It comes off if I stick with it, not have loads of treats because I've done well so far today etc I'm not saying this is you Champ but it's a hell of a lot of women.

Maybe that is the difference, blokes only try to lose weight when they actually want to and are prepared to do something about it. Ergo you don't get loads of blokes talking about wanting to lose weight and failing. They're either happy overweight drinking and eating what they want or do something about it.

It does seem to with some men, doesn't it.....I feel like I'm failing here and you are absolutely right about loads of women that go on and on about dieting and 'being good' and are doing nothing of the sort.....drive me mad....but I don't think that's me and you're right I'm not wanting to lose loads of weight I just think I should lose more for the exercise I do
