No shame really. Both men were going for records. Djokovic for 3 in a row and Murray for the first man to win a Slam after his first one, so odds were against him.

Better player overall and on the day won.

At the moment, Andy really needs to be at his best and Novak to be a bit below par for him to win.

I came to this match late. Was Murray injured? He certainly wasn't moving great. Not looking for excuses but if you're injured you can't be at your best.

He had to get treatment for blisters in the third set and then looks like he pulled a hamstring after that. I'm amazed he could carry on at all just with the blisters

From Murray, you mean? Oh, I think that's a bit harsh

He's too cute for that. He never comes out and says 'I'd have won if it wasn't for so and so injury' but watch him every vital point he loses.

He's either grimmacing with a bad back, looking at his ankle, flexing his wrist and whincing. He makes sure everyone knows he isn't 100% fit.

Every time. Whinging gimp.

Oh, I think he's improved hugely on that score but I saw those faces too today and guessed he'd lost his head. To be honest, it doesnt seem like a great tactic to me as it just gives encouragement to his opponent.

Very gracious in defeat, though. He's definitely learned how to play the crowd!

Hook, line and sinker.

You being a world class sportsman and all that. Regardless of his facial expressions he never used it as an excuse, despite the close up pictures showing how horrific they looked.

One of our best sportsman of modern times yet he still people whingy and complain about him.

Personally I reckon any of us would probably last 10 mins moving like that on fucked feet.

The sulky Scot's fucks head goes down far too easily and his spirit broken; he needs firing up with an injection of hate fueled adrenaline.

Someone needs to tell him his mother and his bewwer have been seized by the English and Terry Thomas, Prince Charles, and Brian Blessed are about to go all Straw Dogs all over their Scottish arses.

Still has some shortcomings to work on' date=' but he has moved forward massively over the past year & in his last 4 major major tournaments he has won the US & the Olympics and been runner-up in the other two.[/quote']

No doubting it when you lay it out like that....that's not just a plucky Brit out there
