I think the next few years will be dominated by Djokovic & Murray. Novak is just a few years ahead of Murray.

He was promising as a youngster but then lost his way a bit. He knuckled down in practice, sorted his diet etc out, broke his Slam duck and became the player he is now.

Murray has followed this course and is a beast physically and with Llendl as coach, his mentality is toughening up too. If a match goes into 5 sets these days, my moneys on Murray everytime. There's not a lot between the two at the moment and any meeting really could go either way.

My opinion on Nadal is that he won't reach the heights he was at a few years ago. He'll still be in the mix of course, especially at Paris, but his whole game is built on explosive power and scampering/ recovering. I just don't think his body can hold up to this long term. It will always be in the back of his mind.

I take it you mean in their development, seeing as Murray is older than Novak.

By about a week, I think. You seem to have some irrational dislike of Murray.

He was a little behind Djokovic in his physical development, though. Probably mentally too, by about a year. Murray is kicking on in the way Djokovic did. Djokovic just upped his game in 2011 against Nadal on hard courts, Murray did that in the second half of 2012.

Definately, I've never tried hiding that so do take that in to account when reading my posts.

So you've completely ruled out Nadal then?

No. that below is from above.

' who knows with Nadal, barring Nadal making a stunning comeback Murray and Djokovic will be sharing them for the next couple of years at least. '

Its hard to see him reaching his previous levels again with his injury problems, even before he was injured Djokovic had his number and was even beating him on clay bar the last French Open final, Murray is a different beast now to.

I didn't realise you were in here on your own, Cath. I'm watching too, Djokovic doesn't seem to have found the right length so far.

I was......although texting a friend who's watching it from her bed. It'll be lunchtime (I know I know) before I'll be able to get dressed.

And at this level it really is played so much in the mind and Murray's winning that game.....for the moment
