What's your impression of Degen now?

For me he's not anywhere near as bad as his first couple of appearances suggested. Worth keeping until the end of the season as his last few appearances have been decent.

I think he's better than Darby but not as good as Johnson or Kelly, considering the latter two are injured I'd keep him until the end of the season and then move him on.

I didn't have an opinion of him before. I don't pay any attention to the reserves and I didn't see the Spurs game last season where he got tore a new one.

 

I think he's done well when he's played this season. Shame our results have been largely rubbish when he's played. He our Gareth Bale.

I've always judged him whilst he was playing for Dortmund and he was either injured or crap. He's had a few decent games when called upon for us and hopefully he can build on that and stay away from injury. He hasn't had a real acid test against a decent team yet though, so i won't be going overboard. Add to that he'll never get in ahead of Johnson when he's fit and available.

 

Decent back up on present form but not good enough if we have higher aspirations. Mind you, that covers a lot of our players bar the obvious.

I agree that saying he is shite was, upon reflection, incorrect, what I should have said is hes a thieving bastard who happens to be shit at football.
