I think we should try and defend a bit. It just might work. The way our defenders were outdone by a simpleton attackers was a fucking joke. The first goal was God awful defending, and the second goal?? For Carra to allow someone flick the ball over his head and bury it from close to the 6 yard box is school boy stuff.

 

I know most will be calling for Rafas head, and that's fair enough, but players have to take responsability too. Masch did a fucking stupid tackle that more then likely cost us the game. And top class defenders, including Carra are making fucking stupid errors.

 

As far as Rafa is concerned. He needs to stop playing Kuyt. Yes, Kuyt was great towards the end of last season, but he's not now. He's playing awful and it is painful to watch.

 

I'd agree with most of that - Sunday League defending has been the story of our season.

 

As a lot of people have stated Rafa has to do something different and take some chances. I agree that 4-4-2 is probably the way to go - Torres and Ngog or Yossi together has to be worth a try. Unfortunately Aurelio needs to come in for Insua - we've persisted with him for too long. I'd also drop Dirk for a while. Low as my opinion of Babel is I think we have to give a few run outs on the right.
