With you on that Robbie. Good pro, worked his way up from Crewe. Always fancied him here before the injury problems, could have progressed with us to become a top front man. My dear old Dad (who knew a thing or two about the Reds) said we should sign him when he was an under -21 player.

Wish him well. 26 eh? That's why they get paid the money they do. I'm 41 and still play every week. Imagine being told you cannot do the thing you love at 26. Must be gutting.

Apparently, he is looking to Sue Chelsea and Wright-Phillips.

What's he looking to them for ?? Sue Chelsea is a useless bitch, she'll be no help at all. I always liked Ashton, bit of a berk like but all the same, had ability and thought if he could have gotten a regular run and stayed fit could have been a great player.

He has just retired due to that ankle injury. Its a Shame, I quite liked him and hoped we would have signed him a few years back.

After the cup win against westham i taught we would have signed him. He had a stormer that day. Shame he had to retire. 26 way too young.

It's a bit shitty for him not to be able to play the game he (presumably) loves again, but I suspect he's already richer than me and will stay ahead of me for quite some time, so I find it very difficult to muster any kind of deep sympathy.
