Positive Thinking

Ah yes 'positive thinking'

Way The First:-  Under Klopp we've choked in three finals, our boys turn up and play blistering football one week, but can't be arsed the next, we either beat the top 6 and fail miserably against the also-rans, or beat the also-rans but can't beat the top six, but never beating BOTH sets of teams. Klopp had won nothing for ages before taking the job at Anfield, and he's won nothing with us since. Usual fucking injuries. We wont win it.

Way The Second:- Owners stumping up for Anfield extensions, general consistency and slow improvement since Klopp's arrival; fantastic transfer business like the old days (Salah, Robertson great finds per pound spent) wonderful local lad TAA doing the business at right back, a  defense that has improved with VVD absolutely a 1000%. After 29 years we're going to be back where we should be, at the top under Klopp, he having assembled the most effective squad since the best of the Rafa era. This season, our name is on the Prem Silverware. Maybe even the double!! We're overdue a double.

'Way the First' is the negative view. 'Way the Second' is the positive view.

Spring is in the air lads, and the foul stench of winter is behind us.

I’m not feeling positive about the league at all because unfortunately City are in great form and we are not. It’s not beyond the realms that we’ll find some form but if we’re being honest the season has been patchy in terms of performance, albeit with excellent results on the whole.

Us being one of the two best teams in the league and well and truly in the title race is obviously a big positive but unfortunately it means nothing if you finish up empty handed.

Our record at home in the league has been superb the last three seasons.

16/17: 19 - 12 - 5 - 2  45-18 41p
17/18: 19 - 12 - 7 - 0  45-10 43p
18/19: 14 - 12 - 2 - 0   40-7  38p
Total: 52 - 36 - 14 - 2 130-35 122p

We have five  league games left at home this season, the future is bright, 50 points at home this season is within reach, it could easily become 53 as well.
