Positive Thinking

The best thing about this season is I don’t think this challenge is a one off. I fully expect us to be competing to win it again and again over the next three seasons. If anything I expect us to get stronger.

Even if we lose Salah we can adjust. We are a very good 'team' now, whereas in the past we heavily relied on one or two stars.

If we can buy a number 10 good enough to make that position his own, a quality centre half with a functioning musculoskeletal system and a player capable of starting in any of the front 3 positions this summer, we’ll be contending for the big competitions for the next few years at least, and winning some of them.

If we can get the monkey off our backs this season and do the above business, we may even make small inroads into taking back the balance of power on Merseyside.

Nice showing a bit of positivity. I’m not going through as many adult nappies watching us anymore. That is when I can bare to look through my hands.

Had a whole bottle of Rescue before the Watford game.

Go at these bastards on Sunday from the off. They do not like it up them.

The Everton game could really suit us. If they come at us, i think we will pick them off with our better players.

Everton should keep it tight and frustrate us by slowing it down. If they get drawn into the fume of the baying mob, we could win with ease.

That's what I'm hoping too. They'll fly at us but we keep cool heads and play round their press. There'll be lots of space behind them if we can do that.

I could see Rafa's mob being well up for it -- pride and players staking a claim for next year.

Agreed.

Scummers is going to be absolutely poisonous though.

Didn’t go last year, but in the couple before that the majority of their fans weren’t even bothering to watch the game for most of it, so fixated were they on our fans.

We hadn’t even robbed Van Dijk off them at that point.

Ha. I’m, obviously, not talking about it in terms of any kind of fighting or being intimidating for the fans, because I’m not the sort of helmet who’s interested in that.

It’s just another side during the run-in who’s fans will be absolutely desperate to stop us winning the league through spite, adding a further layer of pressure/don’t let this be the game where it goes wrong, when we’ll be carrying enough as it is.

It seems de bruyne will be out for a while. Good news if that's the case. It seems stones was taken off more as a precaution.

Them beating bournemouth was par for them but losing de bruyne for a period is a blow.

I said last week 7 points from these three games would be massive and if this time tomorrow, we have achieved that i will be delighted. Anything more than a one goal victory and it's marvellous eating into their goal difference.

Their quest to win every trophy will push even their squad to the limit and i'm hopeful they might drop a few points around the middle/end april when they have a few tricky games.

It reminds me of a journeyman boxer in front of his home crowd taking on a world class fighter. If Everton make it a slow slug fest then i would worry but if they come at us, i think we will smash them.
