Looks like there was more to this than was made out by the BBC at the time.

 

The season of Top Gear they were filming has now been cancelled, the BBC have apologised to Flintoff who has allegedly quit the show and is suffering from the aftermath of the accident (if not physically then emotionally).

 

Seems to be a complete blackout about what happened.

I read somewhere that he had facial injuries so maybe more than a bust nose or a split lip.

I don't mind Flintoff so much and Chris Harris seems sound but I can't stand that McGuinness cunt.
