People are saying Amoo and Pacheco are better anyway.

I think they are but he's the one who made his debut first so the coaching staff must rate him highly.

If he doesn't want to sign we should just sell him for what we can get. No point in giving him any games.

Without wanting to get into this whole argument again, was he not fucked about last season when he was at the Academy.

Could be a reason why he's rejected the contract?

He looks a good player at the level he's at, but I think we have better prospects (i.e Amoo, Pacheco, Dalla Valle).

I don't blame him. When you're seeing valueless carthorses like Voronin and Babel getting £60,000 a week, why would you accept a hell of a lot less to be behind that in the pecking order?

Cos he's only 18, and after only just getting into the ressies he's made a couple of late appearences for the first team.

Doesn't really matter what you think, the staff obviously feel Ecclestone is the 'better' prospect, hence his inclusion in the first team squad and sudden inflated self worth.

Dalla Valle isn't even in the stiffs yet, and by all accounts is another arrogant little so and so who wants it all now.

At a point where Rafa finally has control of the Academy and Eccleston admittingly through injuries has found himself on the bench it would be daft of the lad to leave now.

Of course it depends on the contract offered plus who has been in his ear regards future employment.
