Buddy wishes he had an owner who can keep up with the import business of the day, namely chasing squirrels.

He looks like he's frowning at you there as well.

I’ve just bought back his affection through a few cocktail sausages and a bit of cheese.

He’s settling down for a nap now.

It’s a dogs life.

The other one is blind as a fucking bat and bounces off doors and walls to find her bearings. Took them round my old dear’s for a visit. A story in 3 parts.

Lots of great photos, I love this thread.

Monty has a new favourite tree to drink filthy water from. Scruff.

Looks like the old Loftus Road in the garden with that old Astroturf pitch.

There'll be more than just dog bones buried under that.

Yeah it was a sea of mud after the building work so we put down some ultra  cheap artificial grass until we returf it in the spring.

Beautiful looking dog. I'm biased though as I think Winston looks like a Beagle in the face. If we ever move I'll have to try and get some dodgy papers attesting to that lineage somewhere, as the poor fucker is on the banned list pretty much everywhere. Heartbreaking when you know how loving and gentle he (and his sister, and the majority of their breed typically) is.

Thanks. Beagles are absolutely brilliant with kids but a nightmare for picking up a scent and just running off. Ours spend their whole lives trying to escape from the garden to chase down the scent of foxes.

My Cairn Terrier Lil, who sadly died a couple of years back.

She was the most antisocial dog I have ever had. Not nasty with people, although she hated the window cleaner and she was great with kids or pups, she just couldn't be arsed with anything or anybody else and completely ignored you by turning her back and she was a tough little bastard with a bark and and demeanour that belied her size.

A real character and a proper little shite she was.

Ha! Bit like our sadly departed Petra. She just couldnt stand other dogs of either sex. Always wanting a scrap even with bigger dogs. We put it down to her being a rescue dog and some bad treatment and training in her first 2 years.

She had to have her womb taken out so she couldnt be calmed down having pups but once she got to about 12, she couldnt be arsed scrapping any more and made pals with an equally old, one eyed dog of a neighbour's! Still miss her though!

We got this one as an 8 week old pup and she was like that even at that age.

She was house trained really quickly and she was never destructive, apart from the odd nibble she was pretty good on that score.

Whereas the vast majority of dogs want to please, you just got the impression she'd give you the finger if she could.

If it was possible for a dog to have some sort of autism, I'd say she had it.

Infuriating but funny with it.

I didn’t take a photo but Buddy Dog achieved an important milestone earlier.

We managed 30 mins in a dog friendly cafe without him going bonkers with excitement at being under the same roof as other pooches, thereby hastening our exit.

If this progress continues, I might one day be able to take him to the pub.
