Don't really get the whole grilled tomato shenanigans either. I like tomato in its raw state but cooked it takes on a whole new persona of evil which has no place on a breakfast dish. It's a fiasco once the tomatoes enter the arena.

I re-iterate my bean stance from earlier. They are fine as long as brown sace and vinegar are added to the mix, without those additions they are just unworthy of inclusion on any plate.

Apparently, we eat more baked beans in the UK than anywhere else, which just brings a tear to my eye. If proof were needed that we are superior to all else, then baked beans are it. Basically if you don't eat then with your breakfast, you're French.

I quite like grilled tomato. If black pudding was omitted, it wouldn't be missed. Personally, I like

 

Crispy smoked bacon, sausages and tomatoes, all grilled instead of fried

Fried mushrooms

Fried eggs (fried for an additional 20 seconds or so on the other side also)

Baked beans

Hash browns

Toast or fried bread

HP sauce

 

washed down with freshly squeezed orange juice and tea/coffee.

 

I now know what I'll be having tomorrow morning.
