I hope you removed the flag carefully and walked into kitchen and stabbed the cook in the eye with it.

Witnesses said a waiter at a Paris area restaurant was shot and killed by a man who was angry about the length of time he had to wait for his sandwich.

The Diner, Flamingo Land.

£7.95

’The Full American’

2, erm, Cumberland sausages

2, erm, Danish bacon

Fried egg

Mushrooms

Beans

Hash brown bites

1 piece of toast

1 mini American flag on a cocktail stick

The flag, the frozen hash browns and the waiter with the pretend accent are presumably what makes this breakfast an American. A cup of the finest US Yorkshire tea cost an extra £2.25.

The sausages and bacon were alright and worthy of a point each. Unfortunately they were also the only thing on the plate that was hot. The other ingredients weren’t the worst in the world but they get no points because they were all either lukewarm or stone cold. And that’s the bottom line.

2/10.

One word. Shit.

All those so-called undocumented illegals in the States are more American than that breakfast disaster. What happened to offering you cheese with that while simultaneously telling you to "have a nice day!" and threatening to shoot you in the face?

Does anyone remember the Littlewoods cafe breakfasts from the 90s? 5 items for £1 and 8 for £1.25 or something equally ridiculous. Great memories of going there with my dad when I was about 12, before he'd cart me into Shrewsbury's roughest pub at 10:30am, precisely. Not that I had to be dragged kicking and screaming

Genuinely chilling.

Though I note you got a rep from Anies, presumably for the good value on show.

I remember going to Littlewoods for food when shopping, yeah.  Looking back it seems totally bizarre to remember there were smoking sections in the cafe in the middle of a family clothes shop like that.

Right? Like a smoking and a non-smoking section made the blindest bit of difference in the first place! If someone is within 200 yards of me smoking while I'm eating outside, it massively grosses me out. Ridiculous really.

Right-oh, Mr Snark. What I meant was someone smoking within 200 yards of me while I'm eating. I don't smoke. Glad to help.

I've eaten there.

It's amazing you go away from the tables as they stick to anything and everyone.

I personally love the flag. It's Flamingo Land's sign off that life can't get any shitter for the staff.
