Venue: Earlston House, Paignton

Price: n/a, included.

Ingredients: See below. I went Regular on Saturday and Small with black pudding on Sunday.

Verdict: Very good. Very different to those I posted last weekend; less sleek more hearty and rustic. Real thick juicy sausage, greasy and crispy bacon, homemade hash brown. I really enjoyed it both times. Worth staying there for the fry-up alone.

I see that they celebrated 50 years since we landed on the moon by serving eggs that look the surface of the moon.

All down to preference but a vast improvement on the one form last week.

What did you get up to in Paignton?

There's a great zoo, but not a whole lot else.

Wedding in Brixham.

A girl I used to see when I was in the Navy lived in Brixham. Went there a few times. The people are horrible and as soon as I noticed the william of orange statue I quickly came to despise it.

Actually both them breakfasts look like Brixham.

Are you from Torbay mate?

No, more on the Exmoor side of Devon (Tiverton).  Used to go down there a lot as a family (and Torquay/Newton Abbot with mates for occasional nights out a few years later) though.

You hate it because a ship landed there in the 17th century?

I have to say pebble dashed eggs are a new one to me.

No one else seems to have mentioned the incredibly mingebag portions as well. 1 egg, 1 chipolata, 2 mushrooms, half a malnourished raw tomatoa 1 Chihuahua scalp and a plug. Any beans is too much obvs, and where is the toast and tea? The tiny hash brown is hiding behind the Ramekin and rightly so.

Edit: there is a tea cup in view, hope its filled with conkers and keys

To be fair they do have a choice of portion sizes, which means you can have twice the shit on your plate if you feel so inclined.
