Venue: The Bristolian, Montpelier, Bristol

Price point: £9.50

Detailed ingredients: 2 x (Small) Sausage, 1 x Bacon, 1 x Black Pudding, 2 x Fried Eggs, Fried Potatoes, Sautéed Spinach, Tomato, Beans, a slice of sourdough bread

Verdict: Tasty, enjoyed everything on the plate, though bacon was overcooked. The fried potatoes might have been a controversial inclusion, but were very nice.. added a bit of crunch to the dish. Enjoyed the black pudding as well.

There are is alot of green and alot of beans there. Like -- too much.

There is not alot of meat there - like not enough

I’m not a huge eater normally, but I would’ve appreciated another rasher of Bacon.

I’d gladly eat all of that bar the beans, even the potato rosti, and I’m not a fan of potato with a fry-up. The tomatoes look perfect. Add eggs and mushrooms (which I know you don’t like) and I’d be more than happy with that. 9/10

Bonus .5 as its his birthday.

Tomatoes look excellent, black pudding as well. Prefer beans in a pot on the side but bonus fot not drowning the dish in them. Rashers done well, too.

Are those triangle things some sort of pancake?

Fried bread.
