At last, somewhere that sees the value of not drenching its breakfast in bean juice and mice turds. And check out the Pigboard (sharing, what’s that?) and Sunday pork belly roast. Oh yes.

They have an exhibition Devon cider on tap that was outstanding too.

Reckon I’ll be going there for Sunday roast on my birthday in a couple of weeks.

Like a pig in shit with that, I bet? I’m not fond of cider, but I know da few that love it.

Was exactly what was needed before hitting the shops to do my Christmas shopping.

They have a 5 course pig and matched cider night at the end of January for £30 a head.

Reckon it it would be rude not to...

There is a series on Netfix called The final Table. On the whole it is shite.

Basic format is 12 teams of two chefs from around the world , loads of Michelin Stars, Rosettes etc between them, have to cook a national dish nominated by two celebs and a food expert from the selected country.

Episode one was Mexico so two Mexican celebs and a critic chose tacos and they all had to do tacos. One team gets jibbed off at the end.

2nd up was Spain with all having to do Paella.

At this point it was going to be binned but then on comes the UK as food to be cooked. Out comes Lineker, Cat Deeley and Jay Raynor. After a bit of deliberation they chose a fry up. Much to my delight at 1am. 10 teams of world class chefs all cooking a fry up with various levels of success.

Beans everywhere. Worth a watch. Not saying anymore but it is a victory for Beanage.

I’ve seen that episode. Some woeful plates. Thought the Aussies did the best one. There was one team serving scotch egg... ridic.

Not a full breakfast tale here, but I tried those blue shelled eggs from aldi this morning. They're brilliant things, as good a yoke as I've had on a hen egg. They will be on my next fry up.

I've seen the blue ones. Might have to try some. But I would prefer it if they were red.

Stayed at the Adelphi last night after the game... barely got any sleep due to the combination of creepy old room and child-like excitement from the football. Checked out early to sample this meal, that came highly recommend by @cloggypop. So here goes...

Venue: Shiraz Palace, Liverpool

Pp: £5.99

Detailed ingredients: 2 x Sausages, 2 x Bacon rashers, 2 x fried eggs, black pudding, hash brown, two slices of buttered toast sliced horizontally, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato, beans.

Verdict: Solid 8.5/10.

Probably the best value of all. I tried my best but couldnt finish it. The fried eggs were done to perfection. I’m not normally a fan of sunny-side-up, but these were great. Couldn’t fault the bacon, sausages were good without being outstanding..

Unfortunately the black pudding was way overcooked almost to the point of having biscuit-like texture, and the beans I found too sweet and sticky.

Just before I left, a couple of generous fellow reds sent a glass of champagne my way.. which I appreciated very much. I was wearing a burgundy LFC new balance cap.  All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience.
