Unless he's in a good mood, the car is 100% dialled into the track, and most drivers are having a 'mare, he seems totally incapable of running with the leaders. He's certainly nowhere near the best driver but its about the package. Brawn have done a brilliant job this season although I do think Vettel has shot himself in the foot and cost himself the World Championship.

 

Hamilton & Alonso are the best two drivers by a mile IMO

Button was flawless early on. Those first seven races should be enough to win him the championship. If he wins it, it's because he was so good then. He's been lucky in the sense that Mclaren and others have found their form late on, when the Championship was out of the question. He is a good driver, Button, but i would probably agree he is nowhere near the standard of Hakkinen, Schumacher, Alonso and Hamilton (the ones other than Raikkonnen who have won the championship since Villeneuve). Villeneuve was decent as well, especially in his first two seasons at Williams.

Some of the time you can say 'well the car won the title really' but recent World Champs like Schumacher, Alonso & Hamilton they were the best drivers albeit in the best car but with Button i would say 'the cars the star'
