I've played both demos and really can't decide which is superior. The PES engine looks way more detailed, but that could be the default draw distance in game compared to FIFA.

PES also feels a bit more random with regard to the physics of ball control, and FIFA is more automatic/glued to the player, but they are basically the same game now.

What are people's reasons for favouring one over the other?

That's always been it's fault and is the reason I'm out.

I doubt I'll buy PES this year either though and can't be arsed with all the fanboy stuff. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Played the demo and initially was dissapointed.

First impressions were that the graphics had improved but once i started the game the way the player controlled the ball was shite.

The difference is in PES2010 (on PS3 dunno about 360/PC) when you have passed the ball you need to press R2 just before your player gets the ball as this allows him to control the ball and away you go.

Now ive had about 10 ish games im finding it a lot better with the passing crisper and the animation better.

The strategy side of the game is good as well with you been able to set it up so that players will overlap down the wings or stay central etc.

Its worth sticking with as there is more to the demo then initally you think and once you get used to pressing R2 to control the ball (only if the pass is in the air or hit hard, you dont need to do it for every pass) the demo is quite good.

I'm with coop. Didn't like it initially, have really got into it. Especially since moving the difficulty levels up. I used to hate every new Pro Evo before getting into it big style (up until 2008 anyway...) so with this in mind, I am encouraged.

Thats the way i used to find it up to the last two PES' which were poor.I wasn't sure at first but slowly get into it.This has a more fluid feel to it,like PES 6.

As Coop said there is a lot more to this game than meets the eye,the strategy system they have implemented looks very impressive and i think when the final game comes out it will be a hit especially with the old school PES fans.

This is not a game to make your mind up on by one,two or a few games of the demo kn my opinion,it looks like a game thats there to be mastered.

I did think they'd make more of an effort on the crowd though, the crowd doesn't look realistic and sounds appalling.
