Is a a pardon basically saying he has served his time but is still guilty of the crime he was sentenced for ?? just curious.

Pardoned is essentially being cleared of your crime. Well he has been, at leas in the UK.

Am I the only one who thinks this is more a PR thing than anything else? Wasn't he due for release next year?

Fantastic news for the lad of course and I'm happy for him.

Perhaps, but Louise Ellman said it was down to the confession that was the sticking point. Something about that he needed something more concrete than what was provided, and he had instructed Merseyside Police to give him 'something' specific and the Police gave Michael it.

Also, he was up for parole next year, however he wouldn't have got it because technically you've got to have accepted your crime and shown acceptance or whatever.

Great news. Made up for the lad. Hope he and his poor family can get back to some kind of normality now. They never seemed the type to court, or revel in, the publicity this has brought.

The Strawman can still fuck off though. I havent forgotten 1998 when he kindly looked into Hillsborough for us. "No fresh evidence" Is that so, you gutless prick?
