You don't see NFL GM's go for it like this ever, but I love the Browns trades. They've been terrible for too long and owe their fans some kind of short term hope.

Short term? Have you seen the ages of our players? Some of the youngest in the league.

I meant the trading of draft picks for established players that will make the Browns better right now. You don't see that often in the NFL. You're right that the Browns are still a young team in general.

You've got a few years. It's just when you have to give those on rookie deals new contracts that it'll catch up. But luckily you've got 3 to 4 years at least before that comes in

Christmas day in the NFL today...anyone watching later ? Not sure I'd stay up past midnight for it.

Living on the west coast of Canada does have advantages when it comes watching sports earlier in the day.

Yup. On east cost time so first round will stop being interesting around 11-12pm which is fine. Draft sounds weaker this year, although the QB carousel will still be interesting after Murray is picked as it seems teams don't think there is much between Haskins, Jones and Lock.

Traditionally the best day of the year for us Browns fans, all downhill for us after this...but not any more!

Unlikely that we trade back into the 1st round but I'll still be watching.

Rumours that the Pats are trading up to #8 with Detroit. Haskins ? Hockenson ? Can't see it myself, surely too expensive?

Right

Email will go out within the next week.

I need a PM or reply on here if you are in.

Cut off Aug 1st, any new players stick your name on here if you want in, will depend on numbers.

Rules come with it?

Posted this earlier on a Saints forum I post on.

Wonder what people's thoughts here are

Just wondering if anyone has had second thoughts of letting their children/grandchildren play football.

I was listening to a multipart podcast on the Aaron Hernandez case. And while they did not make excuses for him being a murderer or try to blame it just on the injuries they did cover that his brain was scanned after he died and they found that he was level 3 of 4 on the scale they use. And this was a kid that had officially on had 2 concussions and was out of the game at 23.

Im not saying the game should be banned or anything as its personal choice at the end of the day. Just wondering how things are in the states with people pushing their kids into other sports?, stopping them playing tackle football etc.

Obviously there are lots of good things from playing sports and football.

Nowadays, knowing everything we know, I think you'd have to be nuts to actively encourage your kid to play football. That said, the sport is more popular than ever. Makes for an interesting dichotomy.
