I can start with the fact that I think the new Everton home shirt is pretty nice.

Are you taking the p*ss!??

It looks like its got a dribble bib attached!

On a amnesty note - I admire Everton's balls in fending off Man City's bid on Lescott - even if they sell now, they've done very very well

Not so much the shirt, but the way the retro thing was done. If i was a bluenose, I reckon i would love it. The away shirt with the pink logo is hideous though.

It is a copy of the shirt they wore when they last had a decent team, so I can see the retro appeal there.

But I seem to recall it had a rather luke-warm response when it was around first time. Although given this way before the internet, I've had to base this recollection on memories of the opinion of real people I actually know.

But shirts become popular when you win things in them.

Rooney is the most overrated player the sport has ever seen.

Thank God, it's not just me.

If he wasn't English, he'd be seen for what he is, which is a very good striker who doesn't score that many goals, but not the heir to Pele. He's more Tevez than Ronaldo, put it that way. He's also not developed as a player particularly since he was 19. If anything, he's gone backwards.

Also...

I think Carra was our weakest central defender last season.
