If they get Lescott in aswell, they'll have a really good shot at making the top 4 this season IMO.

Given, Richards, Dunne, Bridge, Toure, De Jong, Kompany, Johnson, Barry, Ireland, Wright-Phillips, Elano, Petrov, Tevez, Adebayor, Bellamy, Santa Cruz.

Strong core to the squad that, and it will only get better.

Now I am starting to worry.

Still how can you keep in check all those stars?

Mark Hughes is good man manager, just tactically inept.

They'll be a force with one or two more quality signings.

Great deal for Arsenal, he's been beyond pitiful for about 2 years now. Cant head, put on a lot of weight - lost pace as a result and just looks complete garbage.

Dunno what happened to him as he was really good at one point.

I wonder how the other side of Mancherster is feeling that the moment.

Man City make all these signings, Arsenal selling most of their first team stars whilst United have lost their 30 goals a season player.

I wonder does this bold well for us and Chelsea?

1. Liverpool

2. Chelsea

3. Man United

4. Man City

5. Spurs.

6. Arsenal

Just a thought.

Yeah, something near the £15m mark Rob.

Ouch. Whilst I think Toure is a decent player, quick and versatile, he isn't worth that, but I suppose once you factor in that it's City who are the purchasers, then I suppose that equates to about 9-10m of everyone elses money which is about right.

to be honest i struggle to get excited about any of their signings. i look at their squad and cant think of anyone who'd get in our team. at a push tevez or barry if alonso goes. moreover the attitude (plus motivation) of their tream is questionable

Toure and Adebayor will both be going to the African nations next year, so will not be available for a month or so in February. I think they need 1 more defender, if they get Lescott, then I think they'll be in the top 4 this season.

Rumour has it Arsenal will sign Hangelaand.

If he signed for them, and partnered Vermaelen at centre back, it would go a long way to helping to solve Arsenal's problem of being bullied by physical teams. They still need a good ball winner in the middle to partner Fabregas though.

Also talk of Arsenal signing Huntelaar, who would be an excellent signing for any team IMO.

Toure was a real fan favourite and a class player but he seems to have lost his way, Wenger has pulled in some good money by selling a mercenary cunt in Adebayor and a good but struggling player in Toure.

If Arsenal get Hangelaand and Huntelaar along with a Masch style player they will be up for the title. I wouldn't write them off. They didn't lose from November onwards in the prem did they? They should have won the title the year before too. If they make the right additions and stay injury free i think they will be a real threat.

With Mark Hughes i am not worried at all, i expect spurs and the bitters to finish above City, maybe even Villa.

However as mentioned above, MOurinho and a couple of hundred mil would land them the title pretty quickly imo.
