First half I was impressed with Ayala, Gerrard and Caviereli.

Second half I thought Ngog and Pacheco both looked lively and did well with the few scraps of possession the midfield gave them. Ngog - held the ball up well and good touches. Pacheco, very skillful and I agree he'd be a better option than El Zhar in my opinion off the bench at Anfield. I also thought Skrtel was solid.

Its only a friendly so the result was not important but i think Rafa will not be impressed by the performance.

No team likes to lose but in the past before wall to wall tv coverage of football you had to learn about the pre-season results via the paper or teletext and even then i can never remember Liverpool been a good pre-season team.

Highlights of the game for me were probably only Pacheco looking talented with great close control but other then that it was a game to instantly forget.

What people need to remember is this is purely about getting the fitness together and the result is not important.

I think he was probably referring to some sort of anniversary they're having. LFCtv commentators mentioned it as well.

Ok, thanks. They're probably celebrating a month without discoveries of hidden dungeons beneath houses or something like that.

Crazy australians.
