Battrick X11 style Cricket game..anyone interested?

I created a new player, 20 year old, with 46 pionts and got a player with a BT rating of 3500. That's WORSE than a 17 year old who I created with just 12 pionts.

 

Very hit and miss.

 

I used all the points possible to create a wicket keeper when I first stated. (I think I put almost everything on keeping). He was pretty decent considering:

I then netted him on batting, keeping and stamina and he is now my best player. He has popped 1 skill on batting, 1 on concentration, 1 on consistency, 2 on stamina and 2 on keeping.

Hope to get his stamina up to feeble before the season starts and maybe switch batting if that pops this week on to fielding (fielding usually pops after 1-2 weeks max).

I tend not to worry about all-round game yet as rarely do I need my bowlers to bat (only in FC) so I concentrate on good bowling/consistency batting/concentration. I'm trying to 'level up' the team from mediocre to competent players, and will then seek to get to respectable. I'm still unsure of the academy so trial and error - I'm gonna save up a few ITS and hope it pays off.

Erm, I suspect most of the chaff was killed off today and the next round will be curtains for me.

Through to the second round but have just drawn one of the biggest teams in the game and a multiple OD league winner, suspect that I am out next round (especially as I am going to play my reserves), all being well though i am going to get a big pay day as I am playing at there place.

I got thrashed... Bowled out for 55. But the team i was playing had players with BT ratings of 129k, 95K, 80K, etc, etc where my best isnt even 10K...

 

I actually managed to take a wicket in their innings, which is pleasing :P

Won my first one-dayer of the season after being promoted last year... Only problem is it was against the worst team in the league... And i'm 2nd worst... Long, hard season awaits...
