Racist? Who Wants to be a Millionaire last night

Jessica Hynes was on WWTBAM last night and one of the questions was about Merchant of Venice. The answer was Shylock, and she turned to her teammate and said 'Come on, with that nose you must have played him'

I thought that was completely out of order (I may declare an interest here and say I have a HUGE nose) and racist. If the play in question had been Othello and her partner had said 'Oh with your lips/fuzzy hair you must have played him' there would have been hell to pay.

Or, am I super-sensitive about my super-sized conk?

That's nostril-ly that racist, is it?

She certainly said it a racist remark as she was refering to the Jews, there's no doubt about that. If the question was about a Chinese person and she made reference to her teammates eyes it would also be racist.

Not only do I feel the pain of missing the moment. I am also roundly mocked for it.

You are a cold, cold man Terry Mac.

No 'a' in my name.

Plus, it was more a gentle ribbing than full blown mockery. You're not Durango.
