This is what's missing from popular music these days, real vocal quality. Studios can do so much to compensate for a poor or tuneless singer that a lack of talent is no longer a barrier to a multi-million pound career. That's not to say that there aren't any good singers these days, but back in Marvin's day you had to be able to be able to deliver the goods if you wanted to make a good living.

It's truly beyond tedium now mate. If you've got an issue with a thread speak your mind by all means (although I'm fucked if I can figure out what issue you might have with this one) but I don't think you're doing yourself many favours just dropping that in.
