when i was a kid i used to play in adidas predators but when i turned 15/16 and was obsessed with being a real man i jibbed the red and white boots off and opted for the more plain and simple world cup and coppa mundial boots.

now i want to have a go in preds again and have decided i want the ones i had in 2000. predator precision they are called and i can't find a pair anywhere.

any ideas will be appreciated. cheers lads.

When I was a teenager I had

Adidas Santos

Puma Kings

Patrick

The Patrick boots were ace.

Oh and Beef, try eBay, bound to be either a vintage or retro pair on there.

Had a pair of Patrick Chile when I was a kid. Loved them.

Best boots I've ever had were Puma Maradona.

I had puma king years ago, but the last pair i bought a couple of years ago where shocking studs come through the bottom and everything dont know if they have changed the manufacturer but i through them out after one game. Only copa and world cup for me these days. God made boots to be black with a bit of white and with moulded or screw in studs fuck all these blades and red, white and fucking bright green numbers.............

When I was a kid my Dad would always let me have a punt on the Grand National. In 1980 I stuck a pin in the paper and picked 'Ben Nevis'. 50 pence was put on the nose at 40/1 amid much laughter and talk of it being a 3 legged donkey from my Dad/Uncles.

Anyway, it won and totally fuckin elated I took the winnings to our local sports shop, 'the Sportsman's Emporium' and purchased the most beautiful pair of football boots I'd ever seen. Puma Dalglish with the silver stripe and 6 shiny aluminium studs. Winnings gone but 11 year old very happy and able to chuck out minging Winfield 'four-stripes' mouldies.

I have to admit that the first night I got them home I sat them on my bedside cabinet so they'd be the first thing I saw in the morning! When I outgrew them I moved onto Patrick 'Keegan' and then Adidas until hanging-up time but you never forget your first love. Or your first lift at the bookies.

I had Puma Kings for a few years, then a pair of end of line Umbro Specials which were ace, they sold new for £90 and I got them for £35.

Then when I was older I had a pair of adidas world cup which were football boot sex

And I treated myself to some adidas copa mundial as well, which were the same boots but with moulded studs

Then I discovered alcohol and gave up.
