I think N'Gog is all right.

Youngster with potential - no more, nor less. Looks like a heavy gust of wind would blow him over but does seem to know where the net is. Cost all of £1m.

Can't understand the grief he gets.

He get's grief

Because he got put on before Keane on a few occasions

Because, according to conventional wisdom, he's taking the place of those millions of young Scouse striking prospects we have at the academy

Because Rafa signed him, yet more evidence of his hatred of anything that isn't Spanish

Think most people didnt like someone getting in the way of Nemeth. Cant understand the huge fan club Nemeth has already built up.

He made such an impact with the reserves in 2007/08 that many were expecting big things from him. He has just suffered from "second season syndrome" as well as too many injuries. In a way I agree with you in that last season he didn't appear to be giving his all when he did play. Not sure if this was down to a lack of fitness, lack of confidence or whether he was getting too big for his boots.

I'm very, very encouraged by Rafa's comments about targeting one or two quality players. His transfer record remains my one significant doubt about him (well, that and his propensity to change things when they're already working) and if he's as good as his word, I can certainly see us bettering that 86 point haul, even if it's not possible to be so confident about the title.

Ngog's just dead shit. No real need for his signing when Nemeth was already there. El Zhar is also badly shit. Just sign Silva. Shound.

I've liked N'Gog when he has played, but we didn't need him when we had Nemeth. It was a waste of money, like Degen and like Keane.

I dunno why people are calling N'Gog shit though, how often has he played? He put in a great performance against Sunderland, even if they were awful.

ngog looks light weight and think we need players of better quality. he is not the type of player who is going to come of the bench and score when we need him. i think if we could sell him for a profit id take it sliva johnson and maybe and experience striker as back up for torres and id be happy.

I'm sorry it it's been posted somewhere else, but I thought it deserved a thread of it's own. The bit in bold is very positive news, in my opinion.

Yeah, it's great to have him back and clearing things up, it feels like that insanely shitty and gloomy mood we've had for days on end has finally started lifting today.

N'Gog has zero predatory instincts as far as being a striker is concerned. During the spurs game there were a few times the spurs defence just stopped, so did N'Gog, if he had continued he could probably have won the ball, had a shot, maybe scored. That isn't something you develop, it's part of a natural strikers game. Others may have watched him a lot more and be able to make other comments but he isn't going to make it here ever in my opinion.

Well personally I dont rate him one tiny bit, and I could not give two monkeys arse about the reasons you stated above.

N`Gog is just not very good, thats it, we could have brought in someone far better for the same amount of money or just not spent the money at all, and thats the only reason he gets grief from me, a completely pointless signing!

And just who could we have brought in who was 'far better for the same amount of money' when he cost us around 1m?

Just think if the internet had been around in 1980/81 when we signed Ian Rush.

Pfft. Did you see his goal against Blackburn? Only a top class player can do that. I'm confident that Ngog will make it here.
