European Cup Winning Djimi Traore

Plays for Birmingham City. Don't know how but I'm delighted

But I for one welcome this and hope we get to see him at Anfield once more, he's an absolute legend of the game, goes from scoring an own goal of epic proportions in January Away to a lower league side, and then goes onto winning the European Cup.

Not only that but he was the first Malian to have a Champions League medal.

Fair play to the lad. He was not the most gifted of players and I doubt even he thought he'd ever win the European Cup but the fact he did is fucking brilliant. He played his part during the Competition and deserved it.

He's no Biscan though. Igor is one of the most legendary figures in recent sporting history and was an utterly nice fella.

Birmingham got suckered by Preston yesterday, and there was 3 different pitch invasions. I'd be happy to see Djimi at Anfield again, though not with those mongs.

My cousin is a season ticket holder at Birmingham so for that reason I'd like them to come up.

Did anybody see the pitch invador at Wolves? MCCarthy went to hit him haha.

Great idea for a thread.

I have an amazing collectors item in a one of a kind (well maybe two considering he played in one) 21 Djimi Traore shirt with the original print from the final on. It put smiles on a lot of dissapointed faces in Athens two years later as reds couldn't believe their own eyes and wanted their picture taken next to it.
