He's lost whatever bottle he had. Afraid to make the big call for fear of looking foolish. So he makes no call at all--whether pen or yellow for Suarez.

I hope he goes to Brazil, gets a semi-final or final, and makes a mistake so egregious his name becomes the watch-word for royally fucking up for decades to come.

A blue watching the game said he over reacted and that is why he did not get the penalty, as said above it does not matter one fuck how he reacted he was fowled in the box, right in front of Webb, disgrace and robbed.

You cannot go to tough aways and have blatant penalties turned down.  He put us out of the cup due to a terrible decision.

Not only out of the cup but we have one point less because of the game against Chelsea. They could conceivably win the league by a point or 2, we could lose out by a point on fourth and it'd be the decision he made in the league match.

To be honest, I thought Webb handled that OK.

He then called over the skipper a few words were exchanged.

The non-penalty on Suarez was awful. It just him bottling it. He saw it. He knew it was a penalty but some non-football reasons made him decide not to give it. Very poor. He has a job; he arsed it up and he should be held accountable.

Andy Gray said on the telly "our so-called best referee" or something like that.

It should be called out formally. The FA are an absolute joke. Referees constantly make bad decisions yet they are never held accountable.

Another thing on this subject is that if a manager says a good thing about a referee then nothing happens. But if they say a bad thing then they are fined. Seems they should be allowed to comment or not.

...but anyway lots of positives to take from our performance. Onwards in the league, and may our rivals have plenty of distractions.

Everyone talking about Suarez's reaction to being fouled and whether he hammed it up can go and fuck right off. In the 1st half, not 5 yards from the spot where Suarez was brought down, Flanagan stuck a bit of a leg out to Monreal. He caught him slightly but it didn't stop the Arsenal player acting like someone had just taken to his shin with a machete. Despite the fouled player making a huge deal of it, Flanagan was still yellow carded.

The worst case scenario from Webbs fuck ups, we miss out on champions league football by a point, Arsenal win the fa cup, Suarez goes to Chelsea who have just won the league by a point, we spend the summer watching Webb swan around Brazil.

Unfortunately it's not that far fetched.

If he'd have done his job and sent eto off for his rake down Henderson's thigh we may have come away from Stamford bridge with all three points.

Im still absolutely furious today after yesterdays game, I have tried every reason possible for the fact he did not give the second penalty but there is no reason. What a absolute fuck up and how he is regarded as the best ref in England is beyond me. We must have a pool of fucking imbred refs for him to be the best.

I still cant however believe that he is allowed to referee ANY Liverpool match. There is a ongoing criminal negligence review into his own police force who have been proved they have acted dishonestly towards Liverpool fans, over the past few years he had been on sabbatical but in January this year ended that sabbatical and took up an ambassador role with that Police force which he is required to work at least 10 hours per week. How in gods name in this not a Conflict of Interest. Here is a section rules from the FA.com under Regulations for the registration and control of referees.

Conflicts of Interest

A Referee shall at all times act impartially. Where a Referee believes that there is a material interest

conflicting with the duties and obligations of a Match Official and any appointment, then the Referee

shall decline to act or officiate and declare it to the appointing authority (whose decision in relation to

any dispute or difference in such matters shall be final and binding).

Is that the new rule then - you don't give a penalty for an overreaction?.

because there's got to be some reason why webb didn't give that.

He's been properly mullared in all the papers I've seen this morning, not that it matters. What worries me is that the closer we get to clinching a place in the CL, let alone winning the league, the more the manc lovers in the press and their allies on the pitch will work to sabotage us at every turn.

Can anyone imagine slur standing by silently as we waltz into the CL? We'll have to expect more of this kind of shit decision against us during the run in.
