Are you unfamilair with how the utterly corrupt process known as a Manchester United match works?

Referee appointed by Ferguson.

Outcome # 1. Mancs win. Referee appointed again.

Outcome #2. Mancs lose. Referee not appointed again.

The influence that drunken corrupt old twat has on the cowardly bastards at the FA is obscene.

I thought this cunt was fucking abysmal today; absolutely abysmal. Horribly influenced by the crowd (deliberately didn't give anything that was shouted for by us), allowed the players to persuade him to book whoever kicked the ball away, let Arshavin repeatedly foul our defenders - including going through the back of Carra - without a booking until it actually became ridiculous and generally favoured the away side. His ridiculous gestures for the crowd's benefit are an embarrassment too. Utter shite.

Alan Wiley is the only decent referee left in this country now and he can have his off days. We need a refereeing revolution in this country. They're shit because they're under too much pressure.

I hate to blame refs but, he was crap today. We were on top up then he gave a free kick against Mach for winning the ball! Studs up my arse, OK give the free kick if he doesn't get all of the ball, but he got the whole thing!

I heard Ian Darke say Chelsea's win over the Mancs was controversial because they didn't think the free kick leading to the goal was a foul, so is Arsenal's win controversial?

He was shite all round though; Gerrard was wiped out by Gallas, could have been a penalty. So the ball was running away a little, but I bet the next time Rooney gets a touch before a sliding keeper takes him out as just as the ball is rebounding off an advertising board, Webb gives the penalty.

The thing is though you can say the ref had a shocker even if he isn't to blame, which strictly speaking he isn't today.

I completely agree with you; we should have killed the game off, however, they weren't in the game until he gave that free kick.

Doesn't necessarily have to be Webb. Unwritten rule that Rooney cannot be challenged in the penalty area. Also, as he is "England's great hope", any mouthing off to officials must be overlooked as it is just showing passion and will-to-win. Craig Bellamy, also fond of being a mouthy gobshite, cannot be allowed this because he's Welsh. Only Lord Giggs can be afforded this because of services to the game since the formation of the Football Association.

I think you can trace Webb's downfall to the second Michael Carrick dived against Spurs last season and he gave that penalty. He has no confidence in his decision making, you can see it quite clearly. He was AWFUL the game after which was also Liverpool vs. Arsenal.

Funnily enough that penalty, which altered the course of the title race, was the last one he awarded. My mate, a big Arsenal fan and a football coach, I have no doubts that he'll be a Premier League coach one day, actually said to me last night: "Even if a murder takes place in the penalty box, there'll be no penalties being awarded."

Scarily true.
