Signed.

The enhanced publicity we have will surely now start the wheels in motion for a new inquiry. The sheer weight in demand is magnificent.

The only thing that really upsets me is that we've had to wait for 20 years to pass to get everybody onside and add their voices to ours for what we've been denied.

Signed.

But balls to these online petitions. I think it'd be more effective if we wrote to our MPs and the PM.

XX000 individual letters will have more impact than an online petition. These petitions mean well, but they never seem to have any impact.

And is it not time for another march to Downing Street? Step this up and take direct action, it's going to take more than just a collection of names on a an e-petition.

Done.

I added my details, opened hotmail and clicked the link to confirm, all of which took about a minute, and got the message "Unfortunately, we weren't able to confirm your signature, because our site is extremely busy at the moment. Please try again in a few minutes' time." Clicked the link again about 30 seconds later the site accepted it no problems.

In those 90 seconds, the number of signatories went from something like 1539 to 1636.

Depends on your MP really. For example my MP is Michael Meacher - I might as well write to Orville the fucking duck.
