541 or 14131 , Because I would love to see a sweeper again. Not that Reina needs one but he is a bit eccentric sometimes, So just to be safe I'd have a sweeper.

1. Have not seen Arshavin play for the Gunners yet

 

2. Ronaldo is on the bench because I'm not impressed with his attitude in games

 

3. I opted to go with a 4-2-3-1 because Masch, Gerrard and Rooney have the required attitude, workrate and ability to cover the fullbacks when they bomb forward and the ball is played behind them

Ferdinand is a better defender than Carragher, Carragher is more like Terry in that respect. Here is my totally unbiased team - when on form and not flavour of month.

Yours is very close to mine mate, I think Carra was close but I gave Carvalho the nod as he scores goals and is better on the ball than Carragher - otherwise they are similar. I chose Fabregas over Alonso but only just and thats because he scores more goals otherwise they are the same sort of player.

Carra's leadership, concentration, organisation and pure defensive qualities win out for me. With Xabi, I went for the more mature and intelligent player over the superior skills of the younger man. I think Fabregas will ultimately be the better player, but Xabi, for me, would be the simultaneous conductor of the orchestra and night watchman whereas Fabregas could occasionally be caught out.
