I got a recall on a beer I got from northern monk. 2nd fermentation has happened in the can. I had 2 cans of this brew, one had completely blown, the other had just bloated the can. It was too gassy and I don't know if it was supposed to be a sour (it didn't say when I ordered it), but it tasted sour so I binned it.

I got this case which was themed around the euros. A beer from each competing nation, £28.50 delivered with 3 packs of crisps. Perfect marketing towards a gimmick loving moron like me

Where did you order it from?

I've just dropped to this thread and for the 1st time read the 1st page (although maybe I've done it twatted before and don't remember)! How things have changed!

I was just walking past Exmouth market in London and popped into the mikkeller brew pub there ( © @Bruce Spanner ) . It seems they have a 2/3 for a pint on a Monday, so just sinking their current top line beer at a genuine bargain 10 quid a pint. An absolute fucking belter.

I'm actually now burping tropical hop flavours. One of the tastiest burps I've ever had.

Been drinking Ukrainian beer the past week and they have really started to diversify over the past couple of years. Normally it'd be 80% lager options with a dark and blonde option making up the rest. Actually I've missed out fresh beers which have a 2 week shelf life, they are usually really good.

Anyway now they have got loads going on, dark wheat beers, distilled 11% stuff, Belgian cherry ales, local versions of blondes. Really fun to discover.

I've been to the Ukraine a couple of times for the match and only managed to get regular bland lager. To be fair it was years ago, when you might have said that about an away game to the other side of L4.

Think this might be the best supermarket ‘craft’ beer I’ve ever had.

Available in good Tesco’s, and presumably some Shite ones too

My favourite two up to now are the vocation 15 mile round trip and the Buxton king slayer. I'll have to give this a whirl.

Are Salt decent as a general rule? Just been on their site and they're pretty reasonably priced...

Yeah fairly decent I think. They do t hit the heights of the top end, but price reflects that. So don’t expect Deya, Neonraptor, verdant, Polly’s type quality.

some of their stuff makes it into supermarkets and is reliable.

I’ve had some of their non supermarket offer too. Generally solid.

Ikat is a bit of a different beast. Some early oxidisation issues has effected their reputation and that of iKat specifically.

good solid 8% DDH for £3.5 if on form. Would imagine the bad early batches might be a thing of t he past, but always a concern when buying.

Just looked on my Untappd, I’ve had about 10/15 of their output. Mostly solid performers. I think that denim is the best of theirs I’ve had.

I find both of them too heavy. The booze overpowers then for me.

I really liked the 15 mile round trip at first. Not had in ages. Think they were clearing it my tesco for about £2 a can so you may find a bargain  at the mo.

I might go and take a look if they're on offer. 2 quid would be great for them.
