Just been drinking Chimay. Too nice to have Heineken straight after so gone to a classy bar for a Paulaner.

Oh, yes.  I often buy a large bottle of the blue one - Grande Reserve.  In all its potent glory.

Any of you hosers on untappd app? Paulie D, ITK extraordinaire and _b are on it. It's a personal beer rating app, great fun.

One of my mates is on that. We had a beer evening at my gaff on saturday - basically everyone brings along interesting beer and we get mildly smashed. I also did 2kg of beef brisket on the barbecue for 10 hours.

I bought this, which was pretty good:

And a couple of Best Bitters from Loch Brewery and Distillery, which is in Gippsland.

Anyway, my mate was up to 835 different beers on untappd. He only started using it in April last year, which is both impressive and slightly disturbing.

I'm about 40 ahead of him but over a much longer time, maybe 3 years.

I did do 100 new beers in 2.5 weeks in Australia earlier this year though

Yes, Michael!  I have tasted this fine ale.

Titanic Brewary is one of those tiny breweries that create proper fine ales.  I used to frequent Stoke back in the 90s.

I can't remember which pub I used to go to, but I think it was the Greyhound in Newcastle:

Been to one of the Titanic pubs in Stoke called The Bulls head a couple of times now. Great little pub in a little market square.

Big fan of the Titanic ale, Iceberg is one I get from the local bargain booze regularly. Cant always get Plum porter without going in to town.

About 10.5 pints which is around £2.85 a pint. Decent, that.

It's not bad, but it's not as cheap as I'd like it to be, drinking it at home, having to spend £200 on the tap, and wait 15 hours to chill a keg. Pretty useless if you're having a mate or two round.

Although, in the winter we could just leave the kegs outside. Or have a spare old fridge to keep a few in.
