Yeah cheers Cath - the funeral itself was an almighty piss up and a bit of a celebration, which is what the old man would've wanted.

I find Badger are trying too hard with clever names and the ale isn't up to scratch. It's not bad but not something I'd go back for more.

Got a boxset of Delirium with a nice glass for Christmas. 10%. It's blowing me away after half a bottle. Good shit.

Had a Christmas beer in France and it was good; can't remember the name. Had to pay a euro for the cheesy plastic cup that it came in and they gave me what looked like an Othello game piece and I could get my euro back. Well, by the time I'd drank the fucking thing I was off the Elysee so I now have three of these plasticy cups.

Wetherspoons does Punk IPA and I noticed it has an alcopop aroma which is bizarre. Good beer though.

I like Peroni myself, but I am working 6 day weeks ATM so try to avoid it cause it tends to leave to not in the best shape for work the next day. I take it easy and stick to good old bottled Stella.

Not too strong but is a not bad drink. Stella isn't a bad drink.

Spingo apparently is very nice brewed on the premises in Helston. I prefer a manly lager meself.

Exclusively San Miguel these days. Tastes great, doesn't fuck you up in the morning. Bonus.

I like Maisel's Weisse if I can get it (not often). Otherwise, anything by the Williams Brothers brewery in Alloa, but particularly Caesar Augustus and Chieftain. They claim to have been the first people to have brewed Heather Ale for a few hundred years, but I find that Fraoch gives me a headache. Interesting backstory though.

Mahou is another decent Spanish lager. Very palatable. Not Estrella palatable, but perfectly acceptable.

 

I actually like desperado's as well, but it's a rip off.
