I dipped my toe in, but I can't get anything to download. Always getting the 430 No such article found error, even when I've downloaded a recent nzb.

 

Could it be that my ISP doesn't support newsgroups? With Zen Internet.

Are you using a paid server ( Astraweb etc ) ?

Using Zen's own newsgroup server, that's why I think that may be the problem. Just dipping my toe in right now so wanted to try before I buy.

They're all much of a muchness to be honest mate (IMO anyway), there isn't really one site that's got everything so I tend to use two or three so that one of them will have what I'm after.

 

Merlons portal was immense it never let me down but the twats took it offline due to copyright bollocks etc.

 

Ginga Daddy has got most things you'll be after like, it's open to new registrations aswell.

PreDB - Use this only as a last resort backup. No registration required, so not as strictly maintained as sites that require registration.

 

If none of those float yer boat, then check this page for more sites. Some of these are paid sites and some require invitation, or did when I checked some of them out a while back.

Invites now have to be earned by members, and only the VIP members...

 

They've also started pruning non VIP members. Effectively, pay up, do as you're told and we might let you invite someone.

 

Give NZP Planet a look mate. Still open for registration at the moment, but they too will be switching to invite only soon enough.
