It was not nearly as good as it was hyped up to be, but a decent film nonetheless.

I didn't think it was anything special after my first viewing. Only after watching it again did I really start to like it.

I read somewhere that the scene where Jack throws a load of coke over the two brass on the bed and says: "Lick that till your tongue goes numb" or something like that, is what he does in real life. Gotta love Jack.

Three of those were in my top 10 of the year, Venus now being one of my favourite films. The departed never made the top 10.

I've had The Departed on DVD since it came out, never seen it though.

 

This is England is a fucking monster of a film.
