I’ve been in The Black Boy (oo err) and it does some decent food. They do a dish called The Black Boy Faggot, which could attract controversy but refers to traditional Welsh meatballs.

Not sure how they can defend the sign DT posted, but the black boy - Charles II thing is true. Exeter has a black boy road, named after a pub (no longer there), in turn named after Charles because of royalist meetings that allegedly took place there.

Stuff like that  - with a picture of Charles II on the sign - would be fine. And I reckon every old pub with an unusual name should have a plaque to explain it (simply because it's historically interesting). It would help to avoid any misunderstanding like there was over Penny Lane.

His initial comment that Diversity were just doing it for 'fame', aren't they quite a big act, doing arena tours and the like? Certainly more so than that raddled old prick.
