Right...hello. Spotify is a free music player where you can pretty much listen to almost anything you want for free if you don't mind the occasional advert between say every 8th or 9th song. You can listen to whole albums or do one of those horrible shuffle mixes where you don't have to concentrate for too long. Every genre of music is covered from old stuff to the brand new...e.g. Morrissey's new album is up and free to listen to. You can't download anything but you can listen on your computer as many times as you like.

I'm telling you lot this because well I've been on and off here for at least 7 years and you're sometimes entertaining.

Spotify – A world of music. Instant, simple and free

There is a thread about it already Bob, but good work bringing it to peoples attention for those who may not have seen it. I like it and have also downloaded it for my old mans computer, so good work all round to you and I think it was kop who first brought it up on the GF. Its better to have it twice than not at all.

Didn’t realise Spotify was that old. This thread is from 2009! Anyway, anyone know  of any deals for signing up?

Pretty sure you can get three months free for signing up if you're a new customer.

There's a family package that costs 15.99 and allows three connections.   You'd be making a saving there if even two in the household use it.

There are usually items at Currys that come with 6 months free premium Spotify. Randomly you can pick up things like games for £10 and get it too. Have a look there.

That’s what I thought but it only looks like you get a months free trial now. Only be me using it so won’t need the family one.

Anyone that finds a game that gives 6 months free, please share.

The disclaimer states that the free 6 months is for new premium accounts only, so don't think it will work if you've ever had premium via a previous discount code or have paid for it.

I’ve never had an account before so should be ok. It looks like the six months free offer is eligible on purchase of any game. So I think I can buy Tetris for my Switch for £18.99 and get it.

Well worth it. Just a pain in 6 months when you have to start paying for it.

Spotify have now started charging me £10 a month after my free 6 months, so they can get to fuck.

Tidal are doing a 4 month trial for .99p - which I'm going to try. Or they do a hi-fi version which is £1.99 for 4 months, but then it's £20 a month.

Has anyone else tried Tidal - is it shite?
