Is that All There Is?

Stunning song. Based on a Thomas Mann novel, life as it is for the rational piss head.

The Peggy Lee You Tube clip will appeal to all men who have not contributed to the irony-free “Undies” thread on this Gay Forum.

Peggy has a wonderful pair of tits.

Watch em and weep.

can't anwer that, just think it's wrong. I feel it's wrong but don't have the words to describe it. I love Franklin, but best ever? nah. Does not give me the shivers of pure melancholy, and it's the only factor I require from any music.

How do you like this as a stand alone song, Brig?

I see Joni Mitchell is in a bad way.

There's a great article here: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/apr/04/not-easy-to-be-joni-mitchell-fan-but-illness-devastates-me

One of the implications of the article is that male artists receive both adulation and critical acclaim because they speak "universal" (androcentric) truths, whereas although Joni Mitchell speaks with the same incisive emotional perception and precision, she does so to women, and therefore is not afforded the same.

A quick skim through these hallowed pages reflects this, of course.
