Always used to get loads of Maori lads in Widnes who'd come over to play for the Vikings. You'd be in the pub on a Saturday night trying to look good in your Burtons jeans and hold your belly in and next thing there'd be ten Jango Fetts stood next to you looking ripped to fuck and ordering pints of water with the birds all getting wider than the Golden Gate Bridge. The best thing to do at this point was get yourself a nine inch pizza and just go home.

Two separate cases.  The euthanasia legislation had already been passed by parliament, the referendum was an opportunity for the public to approve or disapprove.  The cannabis referendum asked whether a legalisation bill should be put to parliament or not, so even if the vote had been yes, a bill would still require enactment.  It looks unlikely that the Greens will have much say in the new Government, so there's no guarantee the legislation would have passed even if the public had voted yes. No doubt this issue will be back on the table in future.

Aotea. Be prepared for the highest cost of living in the OECD including unaffordable housing, 60 odd thousand homeless and sheer fucking selfishness and greed from the majority.

we’re fucked. I’ve lived here since 1974 (barring 7 years in Aussie) and it’s been all downhill. However, we’re still playing catch-up in the race to the bottom.

Have to agree, place is not in the best shape at the moment.

Still, at least we smashed the convicts in the rugby.

Shocking from the Wallabies. Dave Renee wasn’t my choice for Coach, that’s for sure. Wallabies on a downhill spiral since Robbie Deans left.
