Luton snow

I was supposed to be flying from Luton to Trapani in Sicily at 06:35 this morning for a meeting but I'm still sitting in the airport with the runway closed due to severe snow. To be fair, it is thick with snow outside and very foggy. All morning flights are cancelled so I've moved myself to a Dublin flight. The next information on the runway possibly opening is at 10:30. This could be a long long day. Fucking weather.

I fell over on the way in to work, my shoes and socks are wet and im wearing some old birds crusty scholls - wish id never got out of bed.

we get days off with floods, we get them a fair bit. It looks like everywhere else in the country has had loads of the stuff to play out in. I was thinking i could physically abuse a few of my kids in a legal manner with snowballs. Other then pushing them over in the water, i cant really do anything with floods.

Yes i hate it. Is alright fot the first day but then it all turns to slush and it's impossible to walk in. Plush when your principle doesnt deem 5 inches of snow dangerous enough you know there is something wrong.

Ha, if you manged to get to Dublin Airport, you would have found out it has been closed all afternoon, due to heavy snow.

Update

 

Luton airport eventually opened at about 2pm and we departed. Half way through the flight to Dublin the Captain came on to say that Dublin was closed due to snow and so we diverted to Shannon......
