Had a big row with my wife on that day a couple of years ago, i fucked off to my mates house while she went home, when i got there there was another two of my mates after having rows, we had a great night but we call it 'The St Valentines day masacre'.

The missus, while being fairly intelligent normally, has devoured all the propaganda regarding valentines day over the years, and is expecting nothing less than weekend in Paris with all the trimmings.

If your Mrs is proper pro-valentines day, it probably means that you need to step up the romance and the bumming a few notches for the rest of the year.

 

When it gets to Valentines day Mrs Tom will just say to me, "Hmm, shall we do what we just do just about every weekend then? You'll buy some flowers, we'll have a nice meal, some nice wine, love each other, and then make sweet bumming and suck treats?"

 

And I'll say "yeah, ok. But I tTell you what, I'll buy you a £5 card from Hallmark, and then it'll be extra special!"

 

Load of shite.

Romance and bumming are for every day. Not just Valentines day.

run upstairs and light the candles.

share a bath.

while she is getting dry go and light the candles in the bedroom.

also, make sure your room is tidy. that helps.

I have booked a nice hotel for the night and we're having a meal out before plenty of sex. It's our first Valentines together so we have to do something special.

Actually I don't know why I asked you assholes what tips you have, I'm very particular about what I consider cool and not cheesy, romantic and not pathetic.

 

Actually I'd give you douches a tip for a cheap and considerate gift- Buy hand made paper with flower petals pressed in and fold origami lillies. Takes about 5 minutes to do if you folow the instructions on youtube (10 minutes if you are a perfectionist like me) you'll stretch knicker elastic at 15 paces.

 

The last thing I intend to do is go out for a meal so I can be like all the other identikit, generic, unimaginative couples on Valentines day.
