It makes some sense logically now though. He seems to want Keane even less, and if he can engineer a solution where he gets a short term replacement....

 

I can't see Keane going to Newcastle though. Maybe Spurs take him back and we do a similar thing with Owen as P'mouth have with Pennant.

 

It really does annoy me that the media are able to shape peoples opinion like this.

Someone on YNWA says the rumour is Keane to Newcastle on loan and Owen here on a permanent deal.

 

I'd really like that to happen, but we also need some creativity on the right handside. If teams sit back and defend MO won't really offer us any more of a threat.

No but the chances Dirk and Keane flail their prosthetic limbs at Owen would bury. I can't see it happening as there's too many of these far fetched rumours per season but I'd more than welcome it if were possible.

 

I'd like to see how things would shape out with Owen and Torres playing together and Gerrard on the right. Owen isn't the same player as the one that left here, his game's adapted to his pace having evaporated.
