at least he makes defenders stay on there toes unlike the laughing stock.

Obviously doesn't give a full picture with no cup games covered , but interesting that he has scored 5 goals in his last 460 mins. of league action ( basically a goal a game ). It does make you wonder then why he hasn't figured at all in the last 2 league games , particularly as Dirk has gone back into his previous slump.

Just had a look at Kuyt`s numbers as well compared to Keane.

 

I`mk not going to list Kuyts attempts but according to the Telegraph site he has had 62 scoring attempts and scored 5 goals while Keane has had 31 scoring attempts and scored 5 goals as well, even if Keane is piss poor in front of goal he seems to be a bit more clincal than Kuyt. :whatever:

They key point here is that Keane's 5 goals have come in the last 10 games, in 4 of which he hasn't gotten a single minute on the pitch.

On the other hand, Kuyt got one in these 10 games and he's played virtually every minute.

 

Keane is a player who has always traditionally scored in streaks and I can't think of a better time for a player to hit a couple of months of red hot form, couple that with Torres and you have the makings of a very good front line. I doubt we'll ever see the fruits of that though as Kuyt will always be the first name on the teamsheet. Its frustrating to say the least
