Good comedians....

We have had a thread on comedians we don't like. How about ones you do like?

My personal favourite is Dylan Moran, the guy is supreme. He doesn't need to target the audience to get laughs, he doesn't tell sick jokes for a cheap laugh (which is becoming the trend of late) and his use of words to bring punchlines together is outstanding. I went to see him in Blackburn a few months back and I was in stitches for the entire hour and half.

Honorable mention Chris Rock, simply for his stage presence and his insights into relationships and modern society.

There are a few comedians out there I can watch but none that make me laugh as much as the aforesaid.

i cant stand that Dylan moran fella, the funny thing is, he`s not even known here in Ireland, the first time i ever saw him was in Shaun of the dead, then after that was run fatboy run, he`s thouroughly unfunny, just a weirdo

that russell Howard fella is quite good, the little blond guy from Mock the week, i like your man Franie boyle off of that too, but his stand up isnt as great as you`d expect, just one liner after one liner, which, after 10 minutes, gets boring, kinda like Jim Carr, who, on tv is hilarious, but i thought his stand up what crap

there`s another irish guy called Neil Delamare, ive seen him a few times, fucking hilarious is not the word, very very good,

Dylan Morans shite but Russell Howards not? :thumbdown

Morans class. But when it comes to Irish comedians one man has the mantle for me. Andrew Maxwell is brilliant.

Russell Brand does it for nobody on here but I find his stuff hilarious. Dave Chapelle and Chris Rock deserve honourable mentions as well.

Great call, used to see Eddie Flanagan in the Brick Wall on a Sunday night. They had an open mic night and he used to get up and tell a few jokes. We had him for a couple of footy do's.What a great fella, sadly missed.

Only no him really from The comedians when I was a teen but he was always the one I'd wait for, really dry, legend.
