I've just burnt my Iran footie shirt due to the embarrassment I'm feeling.

I've belatedly regurgitated - well, more dry reached - the Iranian kebab and pilaf rice I had at that food court in Abu Dhabi in 2009.

The subsequent McShawarma, however, I refuse to recant.

Ah, but you see, disapproval of homosexuality in Iran is austere, reverent, devout and well-intentioned - just like cutting girls clits off.

Whereas, in the US, it's just a bunch of right wing, bible belt homophobes that disapprove.

It got a bit worse for some of the gay blokes in Orlando, to be fair.

Credit to them for admitting it instead of this being dragged out for who knows how long and with all of the confusion that'd bring. It's so unbelievably stupid that in 2020 people on a passenger plane can be mistaken for some type of enemy craft and have all of their lives ended like that. Hopefully both sides in this can take a good look at the state of themselves now and take meaningful instead of empty actions that can end this Iran vs US drama, maybe that's the only real way of respecting those that have been killed.

Not sure I'd go as far as giving them "credit", but it's better than denying it and dragging it out. It will help the bereaved families move towards some sort of closure and it also provides a handy reminder that once hostilities move from shouty to shooty, people die who are not those who "deserve" to die.

Haha, yeah ok I fucked up. I'd just woke up and saw the news then posted here, but what I meant was that when you look at MH17 and how that dragged out for ages, I'm glad that at least Iran have admitted what's happened here within days so we're spared months of on and off media bullshit.

To be honest I don't get what the big issue is. I meant I respected the fact that they'd admitting it, governments can often deny this type of thing for years on end and within days it's over. MH17 dragged out for ages, I honestly thought this was going to go down the same route and so I'm glad it hasn't. We've been spared months of media bullshit along with all of the different theories as to what happened and so on, it would've fucking sucked seeing that crap day in day out.

I didn't mean credit to them as in I think they're great, they're psychopathic fucking idiots, like most other govs are.

It's not respecting the actual situation, they've just killed everyone on a passenger plane. Trump is fucking stupid for killing their guy and Iran are fucking stupid for downing a passenger plane. The Iranian gov is gone in the head and so is Trump, that's why for the sake of the people that are now dead they should try to end this before it gets a whole lot worse.

It should never have got to this situation in the first place obviously.

I still find it unbelievable really, and same with MH17 and other planes being shot down. It's 2020 and a government can't recognise a fucking passenger plane? You'd think the people responsible for launching missiles all over the place would have as a very first thing all of the data on where every passenger plane is so that this just doesn't happen at all. Not just as a really rare event, but never. The fact that it ever happens is fucking shocking and sickening.

Imagine being the cunt government that did shoot down MH17 as well and looking at how Iran have admitted this so quickly and what they've done instead. I hope they feel fucking ashamed of themselves.
