I've become fascinated with watching the birds in the back garden (the flying kind) I don't know if it's an age thing or I'm becoming quite badly mentally ill.

I've been contemplating getting a bird feeder/bath for the garden though it is partly due to my daughter loving animals.

I used to have a bird table and used to put bird seed on it, but I had to rid of it as some greedy bastard of a pigeon started waking me up tapping on the bedroom window begging for the seed to be topped up.

Still got a bird bath though and that attracts tons of birds throughout spring and summer. I get really excited when I see goldfinches and greenfinches. Also had a woodpecker and a jay in the garden in the last few weeks.

My Mum and Dad used to hang one to the washing line but after my Dad died my Mum took it down because it attracted almost everything but birds, especially Squirrels and Rats.

The trouble with a bird bath is that they're too open, it's advised for feeders to be placed close to the shelter of bushes etc in case the head honcho is in town but I suppose that depends where you live though it doesn't really decrease the chance in the town.

My brother was watching a Great Spotted Woodpecker on a feeder when one swooped and that was that, also the other day another Woodpecker reached into a Blue Tits nest in a hollow dragged the parent bird out and kept coming back for the chicks, you can't intervene even though how tight it seems.

I don't know but older kids would be made up to see that stuff but it might upset the more younger kids?

The fuck?

I can’t sleep in anything any time of the year.

In winter I still have the window open when there’s snow on the ground.

I know mate.  It's a terrible situation.

My powers are waning and I can barely heat myself anymore.

Have you tried turning the oven off?

Listening to the boys try and educate me about the fortnight update.

I don’t have a fucking clue and I don’t fucking care.

I had to watch a "live event", I'm still none the wiser as to what actually happened.

The image of your 'last chicken in Sainsbury's' while sleeping is now firmly and horrifically etched into my mind, you cunt!

Sarah Barnaby (Fiona Dolman) is great, I loved her when she was in Heartbeat, but Joyce Barnaby would make a better Sunday roast and apple pie. Tough choice!

Joyce was the typical middle class bored housewife, into some different crap every episode. She probably ordered food from an organic farm , while Sarah unknowingly ordered from a place where the hunky delivery man was an escort. Larger cucumber madam?

Thoughts on Cully?
