Brazil presidential candidate Campos dies in air crash

The Brazilian presidential candidate Eduardo Campos, 49, has died in a plane crash, party members and local officials say.

The plane carrying Mr Campos came down in bad weather in a residential area of the port city of Santos, in Sao Paulo state.

Local reports say four other passengers and the two pilots were also killed.

President Dilma Rousseff has declared three days of national mourning and cancelled campaign events.

"The whole of Brazil is in mourning," Ms Rousseff said in a statement.

"We lost a great Brazilian today, Eduardo Campos. We lost a great comrade," she added, calling her rival a "great political leader".

Ms Rousseff's Vice-President, Michel Temer, also expressed regret over the death of Mr Campos, who had been running third in opinion polls for October's election.

He said there were "no words to describe the tragedy that has befallen Brazilian politics today".

"Eduardo Campos was a politician with principles and values passed down through his family and carried with dignity and honour throughout his career in parliament and the executive," he added in a statement.

It's a conspiracy that the body shop are kind to animals, what a load of bollocks. I washed my bunny rabbit in a animal friendly body shop shampoo and his fur fell out and his eyes swelled up to the size of satellite dishes. If they would have tested their shampoo on animals like normal manufacturers it could have saved my rabbit a lot of distress.

Thanks for linking Arl arse! Have seen parts of that before, but haven't read the entire thing.

These bits seem familiar for some reason, I can't make out why though :

This plan, incorporating projects selected from the attached suggestions, or from other sources, should be developed to focus all efforts on a specific ultimate objective which would provide adequate justification for US military intervention. Such a plan would enable a logical build-up of incidents to be combined with other seemingly unrelated events to camouflage the ultimate objective and create the necessary impression of Cuban rashness and irresponsibility on a large scale, directed at other countries as well as the United States.

World opinion, and the United Nations forum should be favorably affected by developing the international image of the Cuban government as rash and irresponsible, and as an alarming and unpredictable threat to the peace of the Western Hemisphere.

Ah, I remember now. Can anyone say Syria, or Russia, or Iran?

If you haven't seen the MKUltra documents, they're another really wacky bunch of papers. To give an indicator of how big this program was :

In 1973, with the government-wide panic caused by Watergate, the CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MKUltra files destroyed. Pursuant to this order, most CIA documents regarding the project were destroyed, making a full investigation of MKUltra impossible. A cache of some 20,000 documents survived Helms' purge, as they had been incorrectly stored in a financial records building and were discovered following a FOIA request in 1977. These documents were fully investigated during the Senate Hearings of 1977.

Brief description :

Project MKUltra — sometimes referred to as the CIA's mind control program — is the code name of a U.S. government human research operation experimenting in the behavioral engineering of humans. Organized through the Scientific Intelligence Division of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the project coordinated with the Special Operations Division of the U.S. Army's Chemical Corps. The program began in the early 1950s, was officially sanctioned in 1953, was reduced in scope in 1964, further curtailed in 1967 and officially halted in 1973. The program engaged in many illegal activities; in particular it used unwitting U.S. and Canadian citizens as its test subjects, which led to controversy regarding its legitimacy. MKUltra used numerous methodologies to manipulate people's mental states and alter brain functions, including the surreptitious administration of drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as various forms of torture.

The page finishes with this :

Although the CIA insists that MKUltra-type experiments have been abandoned, some CIA observers say there is little reason to believe it does not continue today under a different set of acronyms. Victor Marchetti, author and 14-year CIA veteran, stated in various interviews that the CIA routinely conducted disinformation campaigns and that CIA mind control research continued. In a 1977 interview, Marchetti specifically called the CIA claim that MKUltra was abandoned a "cover story."

And of course, COINTELPRO :

COINTELPRO (an acronym for COunter INTELligence PROgram) was a series of covert, and at times illegal, projects conducted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) aimed at surveying, infiltrating, discrediting, and disrupting domestic political organizations. National Security Agency operation Project MINARET targeted the personal communications of leading Americans who criticized the Vietnam War, including Senators (e.g., Frank Church and Howard Baker), civil rights leaders (e.g., Dr. Martin Luther King), journalists, and athletes.

The FBI has used covert operations against domestic political groups since its inception; however, covert operations under the official COINTELPRO label took place between 1956 and 1971. COINTELPRO tactics are still used to this day, and have been alleged to include discrediting targets through psychological warfare; smearing individuals and groups using forged documents and by planting false reports in the media; harassment; wrongful imprisonment; and illegal violence, including assassination. The FBI's stated motivation was "protecting national security, preventing violence, and maintaining the existing social and political order.[sic.]"

Just to remind, something that was linked not so long back, Operation Mockingbird. When some of us say that the western media is bought and paid for, well they do have a history of it :

Operation Mockingbird was a secret campaign by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to influence media. Begun in the 1950s, it was initially organized by Cord Meyer and Allen W. Dulles, it was later led by Frank Wisner after Dulles became the head of the CIA. The organization recruited leading American journalists into a network to help present the CIA's views, and funded some student and cultural organizations, and magazines as fronts. As it developed, it also worked to influence foreign media and political campaigns, in addition to activities by other operating units of the CIA.

After 1953, the network was overseen by Allen W. Dulles, director of the CIA. By this time, Operation Mockingbird had a major influence over 25 newspapers and wire agencies. The usual methodology was placing reports developed from intelligence provided by the CIA to witting or unwitting reporters. Those reports would then be repeated or cited by the preceding reporters which in turn would then be cited throughout the media wire services.

So what do we have again? False flag plans, mind control, assassination, manipulating the media, sexual abuse, torture, etc, etc. You crazy conspiracy theorists!

Rumours out now that this whole Cliff Richard (innocent till proven guilty) thing is linked in with Jill Dando murder and leads up to the royals and prince Andrew. Be interesting to see how this one pans out. I think what we are seeing now is a mass awakening to this stuff across the planet. What would have taken days in the past to circulate is happenin within minutes through twitter. Conspiracy theories are becoming a topic of conversation across all forms of social media. This ain't no accident - people are starting to realise something. People are starting to ask questions and doubt what they are being told. What they would have normally believed as true are becoming suspicious of.

I was speaking to a pretty high up manager in my work. I work for a big name corporation. He's the type of guy that pulls 60 hour weeks for his whole career etc.... He told me yesterday that he is done with the 60 hour weeks and said that the country needs to wake up and have a revolution. he said all this stuff coming out about depression an that everyone is pretty much touched by it and no one seems really happy. He reckons this is an agenda being pushed down onto people harder an harder. I tend to agree.
